S'DEAL OF THE DAY: Half-off Registration Cost for Nike Women's Marathon!

Every year in October, the Nike Women's Marathon takes place in San Francisco and is one of the most (if not the most) well-known marathons. As the title suggests, there is a code for half off the registration cost! This also bypasses the need to enter for a random drawing to be selected to participate. The discount applies to 2010 and 2011 graduates that still have a valid copy of their student ID. Upon registration, you will need to fill out your student ID # and it'll tell you to bring your student ID to one of the days prior to the race when you pick up your packet.

2) Enter ambassador code: NWM100 when prompted 

And bam! Your cost will go from $150 to $75!

This registration started a couple of days and ends on April 22nd but you should definitely hurry because spots run out as participation for this race is in very high demand.

S'DEAL of the day: Tory Burch Reva flats and Classic Tall UGG for $64 each!!

This past Saturday, I took a spontaneous trip to Nordstrom Rack with my friend Lois because neither of us had been there in a while. Usually it is very hit or miss with the sizes and selection but that day I ran into some ridiculously good luck. As I walked down one of the aisles of racks for the size 8 shoes, I see ONE pair of UGGs on the top shelf in Chestnut. Usually I get tricked by the close imitations by Bear Paw or Emu but this one was actually the UGG brand! These were $64, originally $180.





As if that wasn't already lucky enough of me, I went over to the designer shoes section to browse for some Tory Burch's. I saw a pair of brown snake skin Reva flats that were cute and decently priced at $79, with the original price at $235. I wasn't in love with them but decided they were cute enough to buy.




And... my luck isn't quite done yet. One of the older ladies working at Nordstrom Rack saw me trying on the snake skin Reva's so she asked me what size I was and handed me a box that she was holding... a pair of black Tory Burch classic Reva's! These were $64, originally $195, and hands down my favorite purchase of the trip. I owe it all to the nice employee that decided to hand them to me instead of putting them back on the size 8 shelf for anyone else to grab (and Lois for the suggestion of going to Nord. Rack)!





All these came straight from Nordstrom stores (obviously) and have been previously worn, either on display or lightly worn by a previous purchaser. HOWEVER, Nordstrom refinishes everything on the shoes so they seriously look and basically are brand NEW. The logos on the bottom are clean and intact, the leather isn't scuffed and neither are the gold Tory Burch logos.

Moral of the story: Nordstrom Rack stores WILL carry some great things sometimes but it all depends on luck and how hard you look. Also note that new shipment days for most stores are Tuesday late mornings. And if you don't care that they are not brand new but only refinished, you can save yourself from breaking the bank!

S'Deal of the Day: Maggiano's Dinner for 2 For as Low as $15 TOTAL?

Choose one pasta from that section of the menu to order and you can choose another one (or the same one if your first choice was really delicious) to take home for later! There are more than 11 pastas to choose from in that section!

Additionally, if you sign up for their email list, they will email you a coupon for $10 off their next meal, which can be combined with the Classic Pastas offer if you wish. Beware that it takes a little under 24 hours for the coupon to be emailed so plan ahead. The coupon should be good for about a month so go ahead and sign up for it if you think you'll be dining at Maggiano's sometime within the next month.

Some of my favorites in the Classic Pastas section are the Gnocchi in Tomato Vodka Sauce and the Taylor Street Baked Ziti :)

20% off EVERYTHING at Bloomingdale's starting Wednesday 3/30/11

I usually do S’deals of the Day but this one is so good that it should suffice for the week. Basically Bloomingdale’s periodically does Friends and Family sales which means everyone gets to take advantage of the same discount that employees get. I called them to confirm and it starts this coming Wednesday. 20% off includes cosmetics and fragrances and all that good stuff that never ever goes on sale.

The best part is since Nordstrom has an awesome price-match promise, they will price match anything at their stores for 20% off, as long as they exist at Bloomingdale’s stores as well. So when you make a purchase at Nordstorm, just tell them you want to have it price-matched to Bloomingdales’ Friends&Family for 20% off. They probably don't even know about it so they'll call Bloomingdale's themselves or ask a manager.

So really, you could buy whatever you want at either store but there are more Nordstrom stores available, and they have their lovely infinite return policy :)

These sales usually last for about a week or so hop on it quick!
